Adoption in Latvia 5

Hey there Gentle Readers, here is part 5 of our adoption journey.

This afternoon we had our home visit. This is a very important part of the adoption process and we have to admit, we were both a little nervous.

As 4 o'clock approached, Danny was boxed and last minute checks occurred.

In the end we had nothing to worry about, the social worker was very impressed with how big, well equipped, nice and clean the apartment was. The kids bedroom was nicely decorated and suitable for two little ones to share.

As you know we have a cat, Danny, so the lady said that we would not be offered children with allergies and we have been asked to get a cupboard for the detergents etc which are usually kept on our bathroom floor.

All in all though a very successful meeting and we are now just one more step closer to making our dream come true. Come back soon for more adoption news.
