1937: Oscar winning UK film director Ridley Scott (Alien, Gladiator) is born.



1960: Legendary English footballer Gary Lineker is born.


1979: Pink Floyd release their seminal album "The Wall".




1982: Michael Jackson releases his album "Thriller".
