The start of something BIG!

Hey Gentle Reader, its been a while so thanks for looking in again on my little world. Work is taking up a lot of my time, as is our business and something else.

We have started the process of adopting children in Latvia.

On the day after we got back from our Cyprus Honeymoon, we went to the Orphan's court in Riga and initiated the adoption procedure.

We explained that we were looking for 2 children aged 4 to 7 years old and we would be happy if they were siblings. Lena would love twins. I just want them to be healthy and happy.

I have to get some documents from the United Kingdom because I have only been in Latvia for three years and the court requires details for 5 years.

We had out first official meeting last Thursday and it was good to know that we had been officially accepted onto the list of potential adoptees.

We have another two meetings before the end of September, one of them with a Psychologist and we will find out more over the coming weeks and months.

We could have two children of our own in around six months if all goes well and I will be reporting more on this in the future.
