1949: Actor John Belushi is born.



1965: Former UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill dies.



1972: A Japanese soldier, Shoichi Yokoi, is found in the jungles of Guam where he had been hiding since the end of World War II.



1984: The Apple Macintosh personal computer goes on sale in the US.
