Quality Street.....Whats Your Favourite?

Hello Gentle Readers, recently we were in the UK to visit my mummy and celebrate Easter with my family. Regular readers will have read "Robert's Easter" (http://ascotsmaninriga.blogspot.com/2016/03/roberts-easter.html)

Well Robert, Lena and I came back with a lot of Easter Eggs and one of them was a Quality Street egg. Now I have never seen Quality Street in Latvia so my Latvian readers may be unaware of the brand but it has been a national institution in the United Kingdom for decades.

I am keen to educate people here on A Scotsman in Riga so let me tell you about the best chocolate collection in the world.

As you can see from the picture above there are 12 varieties of Quality Street that you will find in the box.

The Purple One: This is a hazelnut in runny caramel wrapped in chocolate (originally it was a brazil nut, hence the shape). My Favourite.

Strawberry Delight: Chocolate filled with strawberry cream.

Orange Cream: Dark chocolate covering a white, orange flavoured interior.

Coconut Éclair: If you like coconut then this is the one for you.

Toffee Deluxe: A delicious chocolate covered toffee.

Toffee Finger: A long, thin sweet; like a little finger. It is solid toffee wrapped in a layer of milk chocolate.

The green triangle: This is a hazelnut noisette, and it is distinctive as it is the only triangular one.

Caramel Swirl: A circular milk chocolate with a liquid caramel centre.

Milk Choc Block: This is a block of tasty chocolate.

Orange Chocolate Crunch: Little pieces of crystallized orange in chocolate.

Vanilla Fudge: Chocolate coated vanilla fudge.

Toffee Penny: An original Mackintosh’s toffee the size of an old fashioned English penny (hence the name).

I would love to bring a box from the UK for everyone in Latvia and share.
