Suzi is in North-East Riga. It is right on the edge of the city and it is bordered by Kisezers lake.
In the middle ages fisherman were the only inhabitants. In the 19th century a large manor house was built and a boat took people across the lake 3 times daily.
In 1923 a group of 7th Day Adventists bought the site and opened a school.
During the Soviet era, the area was used as residential accommodation by Soviet officers and their families.
The manor house has fallen into disrepair since Latvian independence.
