Today in History: November 2nd

Greetings Time travellers, lets look at the classic literature of time and giggle at the naughty bits of history.



1936: The BBC television service is broadcast for the first time.



1947: Millionaire Howard Hughes pilots 'The Spruce Goose' on its only flight. At the time it was the largest aircraft ever to fly.



1950: George Bernard Shaw, playwrite and author dies.


1960: Penguin books is found Not Guilty in the obsenity trial over D.H. Lawrence's "Lady Chatterly's Lover'.


1966: Friends actor David Schwimmer is born.
