Doctor Who 15 years since the Return
The 26th March 2005 was an awesome day for me. Since I was a very small boy I had been a fan, some might say obsessed, with a little British science fiction television show. Doctor Who had been part of life since before Star Wars. One of my earliest memories involves a group of aquatic reptiles walking out of the sea wearing nothing but fishing nets with sea weed accessories.

All through my childhood and my adolescence I would follow the adventures of the Doctor and his companions with glee in my heart. When on the 6th December 1989, the last episode of the original series was broadcast, I was sure it would somehow return, but when?

In 1996, an American TV movie was made, but nothing really came from that and my hopes were again dashed.

In 2003 there were rumours that Russel T. Davies, the creator of Queer as Folk and many more classic British dramas was bringing the show back.
The casting of Christopher Eccleston and Billy Piper in the series really worked and as the broadcast date approached i got more and more excited that this would be series truly reborn.
The first episode Rose was actually pretty low key in a ot of ways but it set the scene perfectly.
THE DOCTOR WAS BACK.
