Wednesday Thought 10-Internationalism

Hello Gentle Reader, 10 weeks in and still going strong. Welcome to part 10 of my Wednesday thought. This week in school we have been celebrating International Day. Classes have been taught on helping our pupils be more internationally minded, food from different countries has been tasted (I had horse meat, tastes like roast beef), songs have been sung and the 41 nationalities represented in our school mixed and got together in friendship and fun.

The picture below is important, it demonstrates Globalization rather than Internationalism and globalization is not truly internationalism but its sneaky second cousin. This is internationalism that has been branded by corporations, sold and consumed.

Today's quotes are about internationalism and globalization....enjoy.
